Heather M. Taylor DuCharme practices in and represents clients in many areas of law. Some areas include: estate planning, medical assistance planning, will and trust drafting, powers of attorney, health care directives/declarations, living wills, probate matters, dissolution of marriage/divorce, stepparent adoption, mediation (representation or facilitation), arbitration (representation or facilitation), business startups, tax law, tax preparation, and general civil litigation.
As well as being a licensed attorney in Minnesota, Heather is an Enrolled Agent. Her tax representation includes helping clients become compliant with their tax filing, audit representation, installment agreements, offers in compromise, along with other representation.
Heather is on the Rule 114 Qualified Neutral roster in the areas of Family Mediation, Civil Mediation, and Civil Arbitration. She provides mediation and arbitration services (representation or facilitation) for families, individuals, and businesses in Minnesota.
Heather was admitted to practice law in Minnesota by the Minnesota Supreme Court on October 26, 2018. She is also licensed to practice in United States District Court in the District of Minnesota and United States Tax Court. Heather received her Enrolled Agent license in 2008 and has been representing tax clients for state and IRS tax matters since that time.
In 2018, Heather received her Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Heather received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota at the Duluth with majors in Political Science and Communications and a minor in Journalism. She added to her education in 2009 by completing the University of St. Thomas Mini MBA program.
Heather was born in Bemidji, Minnesota. She grew up in Jordan, Minnesota, and graduated from New Prague High School in New Prague, Minnesota. Heather also lived in Hibbing, Burnsville, Brownton, and Prior Lake, Minnesota. Heather currently lives in New Prague, Minnesota. She enjoys reading, keeping up on her shows, and staying up to date on current events.
Heather worked for Sieloff and Associates, P.A. from 2005 to 2022, most recently as an attorney from 2018-2022, as an Enrolled Agent from 2008-2022, and as a paralegal from 2005-2018. During that time, she spearheaded, planned, and attended many legal continuing education conferences in Minnesota, in other states, and internationally relating to a variety of practice areas. In addition to practicing law, Heather has been an Adjunct Professor at Mitchell Hamline School of Law for various classes, including Secured Transactions, Property: Jurisprudential and Comparative Analysis, Estates and Trusts Survey, Contracts: Transactional Law, Civil Dispute Resolution, Arbitration Law, and Energy Law.
